Distance

Travel time
40–50 minutes by coach along the coastal highway
Time needed
Allow 30–60 minutes at the rock and beach
Aphrodite's Rock — Petra tou Romiou — is the legendary birthplace of Aphrodite on Cyprus's south coast. Sea stacks, pebble beach and open Mediterranean light make it the Island of Aphrodite made visible. From Limassol New Port allow 40–50 minutes each way.
Cruise ships dock at Limassol New Port (passenger terminal). Limassol Marina and the medieval old town sit roughly 10–15 minutes away by taxi. Kourion is about 20–25 minutes west along the coast; Aphrodite's Rock (Petra tou Romiou) typically 40–50 minutes; Troodos Mountains need 1–1.5 hours each way. Confirm all-aboard and keep a 60–90 minute return buffer.
Most cruise passengers stop 30–45 minutes for photos, a short beach walk and the viewpoint above the highway. Swimming is possible in calm summer seas — the pebbles are sharp and there is little shade. This is atmosphere and mythology, not a long archaeological visit.
Worth combining with Kourion and Kolossi on a Best of Cyprus day. Alone it does not fill a full port call — pair it with ancient sites or wine villages. Paphos town lies further west; only attempt on long calls or private tours.
